I was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but that World is at Peace (WN) - Chapter 1606: Nebula's N
Regardless of how she constantly rambles about maid this and maid that all the time, witnessing Ein-san’s greatness, I’m torn between being impressed or dumbfounded, when Ein-san, holding the can of tea, spoke.
[Well then, I’m thinking of brewing royal milk tea using these tea leaves right away, but Kaito-sama, how about joining me for tea?]
[Ah, in that case, don’t mind if I do.]
[Then, let’s move to my room.]
[Yes…… Unnn? Ein-san’s room?]
Hearing the words she spoke quite casually, there was a slight delay in my reaction. No, thinking about it again, it’s only natural that Ein-san would have a room in Kuro’s castle but…….
[Yes, it was fortunately quite near from here, so it seems just right…… If you think such a place isn’t convenient, should we go to the dining room instead?]
[Ah, no, Ein–san’s room is alright.]
[This way then.]
Even so, Ein-san’s room huh…… I honestly can’t imagine what it was like. I’ve been to Kuro’s residence several times, and I’ve visited the rooms of the people I know.
The first is Neun-san’s room, which has a small house with a garden, the second is Raz-san’s room, which had small and fancy furniture, and the third is Acht and Eva-san’s room, which looked more like a brawling gym instead of a room…… Each of their rooms has the occupants’ characteristics.
That being the case, is Ein-san’s room gonna be full of maid goods all over the place or something like that? No, but even though Ein-san has an obsession with the word “maid”, it isn’t like she’s one of those who opt to collect maid-related items. If anything, it feels more like there would be a row of tea supplies like at Jutia-san’s house.
Thinking in such a way, I followed Ein-san and before long, we arrived at Ein-san’s room.
[Please come in. Well, it’s a room with nothing much in it……]
[Excuse my intrusion…… Ohh……]
Upon entering the room, I found it to be an extremely simple yet stylish room. It doesn’t have any particular decorations, and there were minimal furnishings, seemingly only having the bare essentials. However, this allowed the overall space of the room to appear larger, and despite the lack of ornaments, the arrangement was done in a way that felt stylish.
How should I say this…… It had the atmosphere of a stylish private space belonging to someone who is competent at their job.
[It’s beautiful. Even though the interior is simple, that’s kinda what makes it stylish……]
[Thank you. I’ve basically only laid out the bare essentials in this room. Of course, I do own many more items beyond what you see here, but most of them are stored using Time and Space Magic. I won’t spurn the act of decorating one’s room with various items, but personally, I don’t favor wastefulness and instead prioritize functionality.]
[I see, when you put it that way, this room certainly reflects Ein-san’s style…… It’s just, my apologies for saying something impolite, but because you were so dedicated to your job as a maid, I thought that you don’t use your room much and decided to only lay out the essential furniture. Hahaha……]
[…………………..]
It isn’t like I actually meant those words. It was more like a joke that crossed my mind for a moment, so I said such a thing while chuckling. However, Ein-san, who had been walking just ahead of me, suddenly came to a stop. And then, I’m not sure if it was just my imagination or not, but Ein-san’s cheeks were twitching, which was rather unusual for Ein-san. It was as if “those words hit the bullseye”……
[……Errr, Ein-san?]
[…………No, I do use it…… umm…… 30 minutes…… ah, no, about an hour a month……]
I wonder, can this really be called Ein-san’s room? Speaking of which, I remember Kuro mentioning something like how Ein-san never rests and occasionally has to be forced to take breaks…… This seriously feels more like she’s not using this room at all.
[I- I maintain my status as the resident maid. A maid should always be a maid, and a maid that I am, I should always be performing my duties.]
[……Kuro had complained to me that Ein-san doesn’t rest at all though.]
[……Well then, I will go and brew a pot of royal milk tea, so please wait here in this seat, Kaito-sama.]
She ran away!? With an awkward look on her face, she seriously ran away!? Seems like she really dislikes rest…… being in a state where she’s not working as a maid. How should I say this…… That certainly sounds very much like EIn-san, but I could also understand why Kuro complains about this.
<Afterword>
Serious-senpai : [That’s strange, why the heck are they having that Ein Route-like exchanges? Just quickly make that royal milk tea and go on to the next arc……]
