History at the Library - Chapter 135

Still Early in the Morning (2)

“Well, maid.”

“What? What…?”

Wasn’t that what maids were called in this country? The look on the maid’s face when she was called was strange.

“Where is His Grace now?”

“He’s not in the mansion right now.”

“Well, like every night?”

She knew it. Vivian leapt up from her seat, her head clenched as if she had waited for the answer. Then, she suddenly went into the dress room and started to bundle up on clothes that were comfortable to wear.

Oh, there’s a riding suit, too.

When did he prepare these clothes? Be careful. As she wiggled and started getting ready to go out, the maid ran out of the room in a flurry of panic.

Vivian was wearing women’s pants and the maid followed her tail with strange eyes. She thought the maid could only appear and disappear like a ghost, but she knows how to make such a loud noise. Still, it seems that humans were human.

And not long after, other maids stormed in.

“I’m gonna go out for a second.”

“No!”

“Why?”

“It’s dangerous out there. You can’t leave without the permission of the Grand Duke.”

What? Vivian stopped for a moment when something unexpected was interrupted.

Didn’t they say she could go out whenever she wanted, even when she was in a contract? Or is it because it’s in the middle of the night?

It’s dangerous as the night roads are dangerous. She scratched the back of her head and looked back at the maids who somehow turned white and looked troubled. It seemed embarrassing, but their eyes were filled with more determination.

Do they usually do that to a guest? She thought they wouldn’t care where she went.

“It was my daily routine to walk around at night.”

Because she was a night librarian.

“It’s not a matter of familiarity or not. Would you choose people who are unfamiliar with night streets and be exposed to crime? You never know when a disaster will come to someone.”

That’s true, but.

“Why would you say that to make people nervous?”

Was it safety intolerance? Vivian wondered why she was arguing with them about this.

“Wouldn’t it be easier to get out of the night streets if the same disaster struck?”

“How long have you been in bed? It’s not too late to leave in the morning.”

“What’s wrong with being sick with a cold……”

She sighed and hung the hood back on the hanger. She’s trying to sneak around, but when morning comes and she moves, Aiden will of course not notice. However, looking at the reactions of her maids, even if they secretly moved now, it seemed that everything would fall into Aiden’s ears. So it made no sense.

It may be difficult to move without the cooperation of servants.

Vivian, who thought so far, decided that it would be better to ask for advice first and make the judgment that she would be better off putting her mouth together.

“This is a secret. Well, it’s a secret, so could you close the door?”

But when she tried to say it, she was very shy. Moreover, it was even burdensome because each of the maids looked very curious as to whether they were responding to the word that it was a secret.

Vivian coughed with a red face, then left the dress room and sat on the bed again. Then the servants with a ghostly presence chased out and gathered in front of her.

“I will confess to His Grace!”

“What?”

“Oh, my.”

She shouted solemnly despite her embarrassment, and they began to babble. All at once in a whisper.

She doesn’t know what they’re saying, but it was very noisy.

Seeing that people like things like this, it seems that people are people. I thought they were aspiring assassins.

She thought they’d say don’t even dream about being born again.

Strangely, that was not the response.

Vivian tilted her head in wonder, then slammed the bed as if to be quiet.

“Well, that’s why I wanted to go out to get advice and get the gifts I needed.”

“What do you mean a gift…”

“Bouquet of flowers and rings?”

“……….”

They were silent. Vivian, who learned love through writing, also knew what it meant to be silent.

“Do you really need to?”

Then said the gorgeous blonde maid.

“How about waiting for the Master to confess himself?”

Of course she was speaking as if he would confess one day. If the servants who’ve seen Aiden for a long time feel that way, they can believe it’s quite possible, right? They think His Grace liked herself, don’t they? Both parties, not one way?

It might be just a horse, but she felt like she was going to burst out laughing. Vivian grabbed her facial muscles trying to smile like a fool.
