The Tempestuous Consort – Wilfully Pampered by the Beastly Highness - Chapter 889: Xi Jin Kno
Why couldn’t she tell him the truth behind her death?
Was she worried about something?
However, he knew that no matter how he asked her, he wouldn’t get anything from her. Dai’er’s mouth was always sealed tight. If she didn’t want to discuss something, she would not talk about it no matter what.
“If the state preceptor never projected this scene, would you never have reunited with me and admitted that you are Dai’er?” he asked.
He had been looking for her for three years. They had even spent quite some time together throughout those years. However, he just didn’t recognize her. Besides, she never intended to reunite with him from the start. What was the reason for that?
Feng Tianlan replied with a soft ‘uh-huh.’ What happened today had really caught her off guard. She didn’t even know what Shen Yunya’s motives were for doing this.
“Big Brother, Tianlan…” The atmosphere made Xi Lin feel depressed and uncomfortable, especially after seeing her brother’s pain-filled expression and Tianlan’s helplessness. God really was playing with their fates. No. It was all Shen Yunya, that b*tch’s fault. This had nothing to do with God.
However, she couldn’t say that Tianlan had her own reasons. Therefore, she could only swallow what she was about to say back down her throat. She felt really aggrieved when she wanted to say something but couldn’t do it. It was so uncomfortable that she wanted to vomit blood.
Xi Jin stared at Feng Tianlan for quite some time. After a while, he said, “I get it.”
Could the reason she didn’t want to reunite with him be related to the truth behind her death?
She didn’t even intend to reveal the truth. Why was that? Was it because he had made Shen Yunya his consort, or did she think that he was now standing on Shen Yunya’s side?
Did Dai’er think that her death had something to do with him as well? After all, Shen Yunya said a lot of things that day. However, he had no clue. He could only make guesses.
“Dai’er, no matter how you treat me, I just want you to know that I will be on your side forever.” Xi Jin raised his head and looked at her seriously. He hid away the sorrow and worry in his eyes and gave her a warm smile. “You will always be my most beloved Sister Dai’er. You are as important to me as Lin’er,” he said. He would never betray her!
Feng Tianlan frowned slightly while looking at him. She then nodded gently. “I treat you like a big brother too. However, since you aren’t really my big brother and Mobai tends to be jealous, we can only be friends.”
Xi Jin felt extremely hurt. However, he maintained his warm smile as he stared straight at her. “Ya’er really cares a lot about an elder sister like you. She even offered her blood just to find out your whereabouts,” he said.
Feng Tianlan’s expression went stiff as she replied faintly, “That’s right.” She really cared about her a lot.
After seeing Feng Tianlan’s expression, Xi Jin was completely sure that she didn’t intend to tell him the truth about Shen Yunya murdering her. No matter what her reason was, he just had to take vengeance on Shen Yunya.
One day Dai’er would know that he wasn’t in cahoots with Shen Yunya. He was still Brother Jin. The Brother Jin who wouldn’t betray her.
He would prove it to her!
However, would she believe him?
“It’s good that you’re still alive.” Xi Jin squinted his eyes. Everything other than his revenge was unimportant.
He couldn’t recognize her, just as Lin’er had said before. In the end, he didn’t love her enough, and he wasn’t worthy of loving her!
“Isn’t Crown Prince Xi going to Jialan Hall to look for Ya’er?” Feng Tianlan asked, quickly changing the subject. Although she didn’t know what was really going on, she assumed that Shen Yunya must have fainted due to excessive blood loss.
Hadn’t Shen Yunya tried something similar twice within the past three years?
Xi Jin looked at Feng Tianlan for a while. “Dai’er still cares so much about Ya’er?” he asked. Didn’t she hate her?
Did she go against her feelings to say such a thing because she didn’t believe him and wanted to hide the truth from him?
